In this example, I am showing how to update a blog post that we want to appear on the Community Events page. At the top of the Community Events page, we have or “upcoming events” area and towards the middle of the page, there’s a section for “past events”. All this is being populated automatically and it’s really easy to make a mistake and edit the PAGE instead of the POST.

In this tutorial, I will show you the parts of the blog POST to be edited so we can make an event show up and move from the “Upcoming” section down into the “Past Events” section. You’ll also be adding the YouTube embed link and editing the post to reflect the fact that a replay is available for our users to view.

There are several pieces we need to update:

• featured image
• excerpt
• post content (remove the email sign up form and replace with YouTube embed)
• tags
• SEO settings too possibly
