Purpose:

  • To promote and develop fibromyalgia research/div
  • To explore past and present studies on fibromyalgia worldwide
  • To reach out and build relations with:
    –   health researchers and clinical trial organizations in Canada
    –   professionals and organizations worldwide who are interested in fibromyalgia research
  • maintain a list of current Canadian and international fibromyalgia research;
  • determine where the gaps in fibromyalgia research are;
  • support efforts to attract financial investment for fibromyalgia research; and
  • encourage patient-oriented fibromyalgia research in Canada.

Membership:

FAC’s Research Committee is comprised of members who:

  • Bring a variety of lived experiences, skills, abilities, and networks to help advance the work of FAC
  • Bring diversity of the Research Committee with respect to age, location, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, and culture as the Committee strives to be broadly reflective of the fibromyalgia community

Meetings:

The FAC Research Committee will meet virtually via Zoom for 1½ hours at 2:30pm EST the fourth Tuesday of every month. Closed captioning is also available
