Fibromyalgia Association Canada (FAC) is pleased to have some municipalities requesting to proclaim Fibromyalgia Awareness Day on our behalf.

This proclamation recognizes that May 12, 2025 is the 33nd anniversary of Fibromyalgia Awareness Day to raise awareness and end the stigma and discrimination that accompany this chronic illness.

Fibromyalgia affects about 5% of Canada’s population and often takes an average of 3 to 5 years to diagnosis and there is no known cause of, prevention of, or cure of fibromyalgia.

Join FAC’s efforts and commitment to find ways to enhance the quality of lives for people affected by fibromyalgia by downloading this sample proclamation and approach your municipality to have Fibromyalgia Awareness Day publicly recognized.
